The well-known Basel-based civil engineering firm Schnetzer Puskas celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2023. The collaboration with Herzog & de Meuron, Bjarke Ingels, Toyo Ito and other famous architects has resulted in a remarkable portfolio over the years. The book begins with the history of civil engineering and presents important buildings and projects by Schnetzer Puskas from recent years (e.g. the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg). The relationship between civil engineer vs. architect and client is analysed in a contemporary discourse. Texts by Sarah Springman, Emanuel Christ, Philippe Block, Andreas Ruby, Jacques Herzog and Roger Boltshauser, among others. The book is supplemented by a portrait by Cologne photographer Albrecht Fuchs and a catalogue raisonné.
