‘Tokyo Artrip’ is a series of guidebooks about the Japanese capital. Each edition introduces a different theme selected from Japanese culture, art, and design. In this instalment, four specialists guide an exploration of the famous Japanese beverage known as sake. It kicks off with learning about new style sake from ‘kikisake-shi’ (Master of Sake) Dmitry Bulakh, who runs a sake bar in Tokyo. Next, Yoshiro Takahashi, a culinary specialist, introduces several restaurants with welcoming owner-chefs. In part three, learn the sake basics from Shuzo Imada, director at Japan Sake and Shochu Information Centre. Finally, meet Satoko Hasegawa, a seventh-generation sake brewer.
