Through a suggestive photographic sequence, the book traces the most significant creations of Michele De Lucchi’s studio, named AMDL CIRCLE, combined in order to make visible what the designer calls the “synapses of architecture”, meaning the associations of emotions, memories and thoughts that stimulate new creativity. more Covering over 20 years of activity, the images reveal a way of thinking about architecture and design in the light of a multidisciplinary, visionary, future-oriented – in a word, humanistic – approach. Designer, architect, teacher and writer, Michele De Lucchi (1951) is one of the main representatives of Italian design in the world. Over the course of his long career, De Lucchi has designed objects and furnishings for the most renowned Italian and European companies, such as Artemide, Alias, Unifor, Hermès, Vitra, Poltrona Frau, Alessi, while also designing and renovating numerous buildings around the world. Among the many awards received, the prestigious Compasso d ’oro in 1989, 1991 and 1994. Many of his works are exhibited in the most important European, American and Japanese design museums.
