Moving between exhibition set-up, construction site, and fitness studio, Harry Hachmeister negotiates states of ”not any more“ and ”not quite yet“. His work takes as its starting point transformational processes, makeshift solutions and intermediate stages relating to bodies and physical attributions, which he elaborates in artistic form. The artist’s book includes reproductions of Hachmeister’s ceramics, verre églomisé pictures, paintings, and photographs. They are framed by three texts discussing the relevance of his work and methods, as well as an interview with the artist. His latest exhibition is also documented in text and image. Harry is published in conjunction with Hachmeister’s exhibition Von Disko zu Disko at the Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig.
