Roughly ten years of Dany Petermann Boulala’s work features in this book. Trained as an illustrator, the Swiss artist has always drawn in the margins. At the age of 20, he squatted in his hometown with punks, skateboarders, and artists. With fluid, expressive gestures, he drew everywhere, all the time. The streets were his studio. Notebooks, paintings, walls, urban fragments, found objects, and makeshift creations – here we are immersed in the soiled and scratched everyday life of an artist who operates on instinct.
