Fibre-Fixed
Fibre-Fixed. Composites outlines the possibilities of combining fibres with another type of material, often (bio)plastic, to form fibre-reinforced composites. The strenght and stiffness of the fibres, combines with the lightness of the (bio)plastics, inspires designers to create lightweight, energy-efficient products. moreMoreover, there is also the ‘freedom of form’ when designing with composites. Composites contribute to the development of adequate answers to urgent, societal challenges: global warming, ecological impact, sustainability, the issue of mobility, demographic ageing, digitization. The specific properties of composites are also the basis for projects and objects that combine high-tech and functionality with artistic imagination, experiments, poetry, controversial beauty, craftsmanship and old and new cultural habits.
