This monograph focuses on the work accomplished by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa, between 2015 and 2023, both in the office founded by them, SANAA, and individually. This volume completes the monograph published in 2020: El Croquis 205 SANAA 2015 2020. SANAA, founded in 1995 by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa, has been awarded numerous prestigious international prizes, such as the Golden Lion Prize at the 9th Biennale di Venezia (2004), the Prize of the Architectural Institute of Japan (2006), the Pritzker Prize (2010) and the Mies Crown Hall American Prize (2016). Kazuyo Sejima (Ibaraki, Japan. 1956) graduated at the Japan Women’s University in 1981, and afterwards joined the office of Toyo Ito & Associates. In 1987 she founded her own office, and in 1992 she was awarded Young Architect of the Year. She has received the Award for Art from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. Currently, she is a professor at the Polytechnic University of Milan and at the Yokohama Graduate School of Architecture, and she is teaching at Japan Women’s University and Osaka University of Arts as a visiting professor. Ryue Nishizawa (Tokyo, Japan. 1966) graduated at Yokohama National University in 1990 and began working for Kazuyo Sejima & Associates in the same year. In 1997 he established his independent office. Currently, he is Professor at Yokohama Graduate School of Architecture.
