Buildings for People and Plants by WORKac is a carefully curated architectural exploration of this highly acclaimed New York architecture studio. The book presents ten of their most recent projects, including the North Boulder Library, the Student Success Center at the Rhode Island School of Design, and the Miami Museum Garage. It sheds light on the closely interwoven areas of architecture and design, ecological and social sustainability in WORKac’s designs.

An introductory essay by Amale Andraos and Dan Wood, the founders of WORKac, is followed by a visual presentation that shows how their buildings are linked to their specific cultural and ecological context in order to serve people and nature. An interview with the two architects, conducted by Heidi Zuckerman, Director of the Orange County Museum of Art, an essay by architecture critic Nicolai Ouroussoff and an appendix with detailed information on the projects presented complete this monograph.
