Nine of these passes are over 2,000 metres high, including the highest road pass in the Alps, the Col de l'Iseran at 2,770 metres. Over a length of approx. 700 kilometres, the route overcomes an altitude difference of 15,700 metres. It is one of the most beautiful routes in the world.
