As a student at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, Jacques Moeschal quickly became fascinated with the sculptural possibilities of concrete. Passers-by enjoy themselves to the full when, from their car, they suddenly come across an imposing work by Moeschal. The sculptures have become landmarks on our monotonous motorways. On the basis of plans, film fragments, models and interventions by contemporary artists, the exhibition will zoom in on the relationship between art and architecture in Moeschal’s underexposed work.
