The third Lucerne Symposium for Architectural Pedagogues 2019 of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts explored this question by making the real spaces in which architects are trained the subject of its investigation. The dialogues and essays collected in this volume discuss what future teaching institutes might look like and whether a school even needs to consist of buildings. The result is a multi-voiced intercultural exchange that collects contemporary and visionary ideas for schools of architecture in the age of global pandemics and digital teaching.
