It’s definitely a match! Most likely when paper meets food you’re holding a cookbook or a restaurant guide in your hands. That this delicious encounter can turn out differently without being less tasteful proves the F Magazine. The Food Documentary Magazine from Korea is definitely one of a kind. No wonder since this magazine originated from a long-time, inspiring friendship between Magazine B and Baemin. While Magazine B is famously known for telling multi-layered stories behind well-known brands as IKEA, Monocle, Vans, Muji among others Baemin is a critical mover and shaker in South Korean contemporary food culture “bringing good food to anyone and anywhere”. Both together result in a fruitful collaboration which will certainly change the way we use and think about our day to day ingredients. The principle is more than simple: Each issue is dedicated to one essential ingredient, so far it is salt, chicken and cheese, entering the multifarious world, the various purposes and histories and the relationship between the people in different stages of the product we use at the end of the line. This nutritional encyclopedia serves as a perfect guidance through the most basic and essential food components featuring various interviews, an academic manual, a geographical overlook and a LAB coming with each Magazine. It’s a feast for the eye and we suppose Bongjin Kim’s (Baemin) plan worked out saying: “Personally, I’d like to publish a magazine that I would curate for my own personal collection.” Believe us, we curate it with full pleasure!
