KALEIDOSCOPE launches Capsule, a sibling publication delving into the world of design in its broader definition—one that encompasses interiors and architecture, fashion and technology, ecology and craft, to explore our relationship with desire and consumption. A hybrid between a magazine and a book, paying homage to a lineage of Italian radical design publications while indulging in a lavish physicality, Capsule will be released annually during Milan Design Week. Delving into the world of design in its broader definition through a genre-bending line up of designers, architects, and creators the first issue comes with a set of three covers. Its title is an homage to the Nakagin Capsule Tower, one of the symbols of the Japanese Metabolism movement designed by Kisho Kurokawa and built in 1972 in Tokyo, which is currently being disassembled to make way for new development.
