Barkow Leibinger
Some of what has kept Frank Barkow and Regine Leibinger so busy since they opened their Berlin office in 1993 in terms of competitions, lectures, teaching materials and realised projects had almost sunk into oblivion. moreOnly when the two architects, Harvard graduates and professors brought together their complete oeuvre from three archives to an industrial building in Berlin- Neukölln the entire spectrum of their cooperation was revealed: hundreds of sample materials, architectural models, found objects, realised as well as scrapped projects. Most of it was meticulously stowed away in crates and boxes, preserving the contents in pristine condition. For the exhibition “Revolutions of Choice” two aspects from this amazing plethora that characterise the creative attitude of Barkow Leibinger where worked out: the experimental and the sculptural.
